Women Self Defense Moves

What would be the best handgun for a strong and capable young women?

I'm moving into a place of my own soon, and I feel it would be best to have some method of self defense. I feel I am responsible enough for a gun, and certainly physically strong enough to handle most anything. I do, however, want something on the medium to small scale because I also intend on getting a concealed gun permit. Any suggestions?

Have you fired a handgun before? If not, then go to a local shooting range and spend an hour or two trying out a few.

I would suggest a 9mm. Glock 19 I believe is the compact. I have full size 9mms and .45s so my knowledge of compact guns is limited. You can get a Colt 1911 Commander style size .45 with a 3inch barrel that would give you all the stopping power you need.

And as a few have said already, An S&W J frame revolver to avoid snags if you're gonna CCW.

Why do women do stuff like this?

I went over to my aunts house on Sunday because she needed help shoveling snow. After I was done helping her shovel, we went inside where she made me some hot chocolate. We got to talking and she told me she was taking a self defense class, I laughed and thought it was funny. She told me to not laugh because it taught her moves that could kick my butt. That made me laugh even more because she is almost 50 like 5'1'' and i'm 18 and 6'0''. I told her there's no way any of those moves would work on me, She guaranteed that one move would definitely work. So I challenged her that she couldn't take me down with one of the moves she learned. So she says fine, but i'm gonna warn you against it. With that we went to the living room and she said, are you ready.. then out of no where she kicks me right in the balls! and I went down and she started giggling about how she was right.

How unfair is this move for an aunt to pull on her nephew, and can you believe that she was giggling!

lol maybe next time just take her word for it!
