Why do men find it hard to believe that women could become good leaders?

Chauvenisme? or is it mere fear of female domination? or is it because there are not much examples that portray womens capability as leaders. explain your thoughts

because they're sexist and have probably been brought up to think that way. Its probably brainwashed in their minds that woman should have a certain role in society and they cant see them deviating from that.

Why are there so many women now who are scout leaders for the BOY SCOUTS?

I have noticed a somewhat disturbing trend lately - there are more and more women serving as scout leaders for the Boy Scouts. Are men no longer interested in doing these kinds of things for our youth? I firmly believe that women can do anything men can do . . . but this is ridiculous! There is no way that we would let men be Girl Scout leaders . . . we'd call them child molesters and perverts! Seriously . . . WTF?
This is not an excuse for man bashing. If you can't back it up _ don't waste my time please.
I have no idea why this question is in philosophy. lol
I am not being narrow minded here. Good male leadership is important for boys to learn.
The men being perverts was an example of stereotypes. Those who say this is untrue are either liars or don't have daughters.

Women have been involved with Boy Scouting since the early years. In the 1970's, the last sacred position of Scoutmaster was opened to women. As in every job, many women make fantastic Scoutmasters, some do not. Women are stepping up to the role of leadership to fill a vacuum caused by men who feel they are too busy, or don't have the skills to do the job. A minority just don't care. Some feel intimidated by the role of leader, and don't feel comfortable in admitting they don't know everything. Women just look at the task and see that it must be done and do it.
Scouting has much more competition for youth membership than it did 30 years ago. For every age and conceivable sport, there are leagues and tournaments. Many men prefer to invest their time with sport than with Scouting. For whatever reason, Scout-bashing seems to be in vogue. Some people, young and not so young, call Scouts nerds or say "Scouts is gay." The gay community attacks Scouting for its policy of not allowing homosexuals as leaders. Scouts are ridiculed by peer groups for wanting to join a group of do-gooders, when the media glamorizes the bad-boy gansta rappers, Prima Donna sports stars and other negative role models, it is difficult to find boys &/or men who want to participate in the movement.
About the fathers wanting to help their daughter's GS troops. You are correct. Men are viewed as predators and strongly discouraged from assisting. In the same vein, a man who does not have a boy in the Boy Scouts is viewed highly suspiciously by the parents of the boys and the hierarchy of the movement. Yet a single man who wants to coach the swim team all by himself is regarded as a hero.
I'm pleased that women step up to the task of Scout leadership. It needs to be done, and they do a good job.
