Self-Defense in Wisconsin?

This kid keeps trying to start fights with me(after several cases of verbal harrasment *none have been reported*). I am 14, he is 15 and we live in Wisconsin. *obviously*
I've heard several people say that self defense is illegal in Wisconsin, and what I want to know is.. If he throws the first punch do I have the right to defend myself?

Well u can't kill him or seriously injure him even if he starts a fight.

1 time some kid through snow in my face and i slapped him.. I was a big kid so he got hurt and fell down and busted his nose. I got the cops called on me by his mom and I was only 13. It was funny though cause he got in more shit than me because he assualted me with a weapon(snow ball) after the cops were called.

since he seems like bully just beat the shit out of him but go easy on the face, as long as he doesn't have a bloody nose or any blood u can't get in trouble for a fight you agree on

someone use verbal threat. Because this guy heard that I was making funny of him behind his back and in his own words he said "Next time I hear you talking sh!t about me I put you six feet under!" Of course I'm not scared but I don't take kindly to people making threats to me.

No, but if it is combined with an aggressive movement toward you, you should defend yourself since he has made his intent clear. The words can't physically harm you, so if that is your only reason for a strike, you can be arrested for assault. You can notify the Police of the threat because it is a form of harassment, but I wouldn't bother unless you feel it is a serious threat against your life. Sounds like he was just blowing some smoke.
