Am I wrong in a situation like this?
OK, I'm 14 and about 5 months ago I got jumped close to my home. So, my friend gave me something for my pocket -- a shank sort of. Honestly, I'm not a heartless person or a 'gangsta' (forget about the display name) and I'm actually one of the sane people in my urban neighborhood.
I know carrying a shank is illegal, especially for a 14 year old but here's the scenario. If I get jumped again and I pull out my shank, stabbing one of them, can I get arrested for it even though it was in self defense?
Hell, while we're on that subject: If a burglar breaks into your home and a teen picks up a gun and kills him, can the teen get charged even though the gun is licensed and he's protecting his family (let's say the crook had the intent to kill)
DON'T CARRY ONE! It makes you no better than them, your not defending yourself seriously. If you get jumped and use an illegal weapon in self defence then you can get arrested for it, you might even have to live with the life of another on your conscience. funnily enough on the subject of burglar's they have some insane rights. In the uk there was a case where there was a burglar on somebodies roof and when the roof broke and he came through their ceiling he sued them for damages and won, so yes the teen probably would get charged lol.

Atheists and Muslims blame Christians for Crusades but?
didn't the Muslims assume we would eventually defend ourselves? For those who have studied the Crusades it started at Pope Urban's Call to war after the Orthodox said they were being over run by Muslims. The Muslims took over 2/3 of the Christian world including Spain, Southern France, Turkey, Middle East, North Africa parts of Greece and the Slavic territories and Meditarranean islands. Is that not just self-defense? When the Spaniards finally forced out the Muslims with the Inquisition/Reconquista was that not just retaken stolen land? How in the hell are the muslims mad about this when they slaughtered people across more than half of the former Christian Roman Empire and when people finally fight back its an atrocity? Another question. Do you think if the Crusades hadn't happened that the Muslims would have pushed further into the heart of Europe past where they were in Greece and France? Sure there were mistakes made during the Crusades but how about Muslims taking some blame too.
Actually it began with the Battle of Yarmuk in 636 when in the wake of the Justinian plague, the Muslims defeated the weakened and depopulated empires around them (the Byzantines, Roman Syria and Palestine, Roman Egypt, Iran, Armenia, Tranoxiana and Chinese Turkestan). The Muslims had conquered far and wide by the time the European Christians were convinced to care. Just like the European Christians today, who 1000 years later are being overrun by the Muslims without a fight.
