I need some help figuring out all the types of fighting/self defense?

Okay, this may sound stupid, but I am a girl. I am getting a little paranoid about the way the world is getting these days. I want to fully train my body to be able to defend myself in any situation. What are all the different types of fighting, karate, knives/sword, kick-boxing, guns, etc. I want to know everything you can think of and what each one focuses on. Please and thanks!
Okay for an example my friend said that it sounds like I want to be Rambo? Lol not sure if that's right....

or gracie jujitsu

Krav magra focus on very very effective fighting (not as much fancy and flash and hollywood, but actual moves to hurt, mame, or kill your opponent quickly and using whatever is nearby you.)

And gracie jujitsu focus on ground fighting, chokes, arm breaks, leg breaks, etc.. very effective because 90% of fights are taken to the ground (when your rolling around pulling hair etc) and this style teaches you to take dominance on the ground and knock your opponent out quickly.

Both of these two styles will help you in self degence... Karate, Kung-fu etc will not (to the same degree). But those styles will help you in becoming a better person as a whole.

Getting a gun is not a bad idea, but get training, goto the local fire range and get some trigger time, become familiar with your gun, it's limitations, and it's good points. Also learn how to effectivly use it and not get innocent people hurt with it.

i know there is hundreds of self defence types, but which do you think ranks #1 compaired to all?
my opiion is brazilian ju jitsu. royce gracie! you never ever need to throw a punch just make every tap.. so whats your opinion?
