Is a business organization misogynist if it doesn't give promotions to women in preference to men?

Alan Sugar's firm has been criticised for not giving women a free pass into top jobs, but one of his top ranking female assistants rejects the criticism: "...she has little sympathy for women who say the odds are stacked against them. She said recently: “If you think you only get on a board because 50 per cent of people have to be women, what self-respect can you have? No, it is not. It's practical, and chooses the best person for the job rather than being a slave to some idiotic social agenda. As many times before, nobody has the 'right' to demand a spot at the top! You earn it or not.

If I went to Mr Sugar and demanded a top spot - how would he react?

This idea of ridiculous proportionate representation on company boards is Communism, pure and simple, and is just another ridiculous demand from ideological clones who simply don't want to do the work to get to the top. I'm reading up on the Red Guards in China, and their methods are strikingly similar to those of Faux Feminists (the ones who don't truly represent women, but represent an ideology).

Personally, in his place, anyone who demanded they be appointed would be shown the door so fast their feet wouldn't touch the ground.

EDITS:- @ finnly - "being a man is not considered a tie breaker in my book" - but being a woman is definitely a tie breaker in her favour under EEO here!! What think ye of that?
