If you carry a taser around and someone tries to harass you, what is the most that the taser will do?

I'm from South Carolina and from a kind of bad area, and I'm wonderring what is the most that a taser will do?
What kind of voltage do I need?
IS there a limit to how much you can taser someone in self defense?
Do you have the right to guarantee that someone WILL die if they randomly physically harass you?

A Taser can be "shot" more than once. By that I mean you can deliver a charge more than once. You also have the option of shooting, then laying it down to run or use it as a regular stun gun should the attacker still come after you. There have been deaths attributed to being tased; however, it is still considered a non-lethal weapon. Tasers come with a replacement guarantee so if you leave it, you just have to get a copy of the police report and send it to wherever you bought it to replace it. When discharged, it also leaves a "confetti" of coded scraps that the police can use to find out whose Taser it is, so just be sure it was necessary to use it. You have a right to defend yourself against harm but no one should guarantee that another will die. Random physical harassment is not sufficient grounds for use of lethal force. I think you have to clarify that question a bit more.

Has anyone bought a taser "pistol" for self defense?

Thinking of getting one for self defense against all these getto punks that are gong after good hard working and old defenseless people becouse they are cowards that have to run in packs. Would love to take one of those piece of dirt bags down and shove those damn grills they have in their mouths down their throats until they choke, not like their kids will miss them since they don't know who they are anyway, clogging up our tax paid jails, etc..... Any thoughts?

If there is more than one of them, the taser will get you into trouble deep. Would you carry a single-shot pistol to a gun fight?
