what are the prerequisites to be an successful entrepreneur?
i wanna be one.i am 20 yrs old.i dont wanna do a job in future.i want to be my own boss.but my problem is that people dont take me that seriously.they think i am some dumb person.my ego tells me to not listen to them but at the back of my head i feel they are right!..i dont know what is to be done.?
Education is the way forward, do you have a high school degree or a college degree? how far have you reached? master, bachelor, PhD? If not you might want to consider getting one. No matter what you plan to do, a university degree will always help you! If you want to do be an entrepreneur, then you might want to consider business or economics as well as an MBA for grad school. You may also want to get an internship to get the taste of what buisness feels like.
Dot listen to other people we all put each other down, to make us look less bad. You first avoid these people, because they will for sure STOP you from taking the first step!! Which is the hardest of all, once you have it going the momentum will carry you through.

Working for a startup headed by a 10 time successful serial entrepreneur?
Management consists of a large insurance firm, a CEO of a similar industry, and a professor from a prominent business school.
They are paying me market salary with health benefits and 10,000 stock options. Is this a deal worth jumping on?
It sounds good on the surface but you don't say what your position or role would be or what experience or expertise you bring to the table. Are you a key technologist or manager that can provide important innovation or experience? A 10,000 share stock option may sound like a lot to some people but it really depends on how many shares they have. If you are young and inexperienced, you don't have leverage to ask for more but if you are a key person, that changes everything.
