22 LR for self defense?
What's the best 22LR round for self defense? I've heard CCI Stingers are good but they're also hollowpoint. Even with a hyper velocity round, does hollowpoint provide enough penetration?
as a country boy who has probibally owned and shot more guns than most of these people who have answered your question a 22 cal is small but can easily stop an intruder, if you r a good shot. As far as 22 birdshot FORGET IT all it will do is make the intruder mad (I have shot over 100rds of shot shells so i know).I think your best bet would be a semi-auto pistol.They r easy to handle in the tight confines of a house,have basically no recoil and can deliver several rounds down range quickly and accurately.As far as which type of bullet to use,each gun will fire different kinds of bulles more accurately than other types of bullets.So u need to find out which one fires the most accurately out of your gun.

What reason would a stingray have to sting someone?
This might sound stupid...But I was at the beach yesterday and it was filled with the non-stinging jellyfish and then some stingrays. I was too scared to get in too deep in case I got stung by a stingray.
What do they use their stingers for? Do they use it for self defense or to kill their prey or what?
And is there such thing as a sting ray with out a stinger? (I heard there was and they were called mantas).
I know I sound stupid but I'm TERRIFIED of fish (and anything that lives in the water really) and I want to make sure that if I do go in I'll be safe.
Oh, and when I did get in, I don't know if I was paranoid or not, but I'd swear they were touching me. 
(and something grabbed onto my wrist. Do stingrays have teeth? (I know their mouths are on their tummy area).
Again, I know this sounds stupid.
Stingrays will sometimes sting when they feel threatened, but it's rare. I've seen stingrays once in the mall of america, and they love people! They kind of acted like dolphins and would stick their heads out of the water because they wanted me to pet them. They're so cute!
