Statistics Self Defense
I'm writing a argumentative research paper on Gun control and i need help with my 3 main points?
First of all I don't want any oppinions going against my research paper because it's too late to change it.
I chose to go against gun control and my 3 points are these
Self Defense
Gun control is ineffective
Intimidation (the more guns in the area the more cautious the criminal as noticed by some statistics
Here's my problem, I think i might be able to combine my first point and my third point, but if i do, i think i want to put another point in then so i can have a longer paper so i don't have to drag it out. Do any of you have an idea i should use as my third point if i do this?

just how useful are guns for self defense in everyday life?
i'm not refering to military or law enforcement situations, just normal people.
perhaps there are statistics of people in the US who successfully defend themselves from attack by using a gun.
what do you think of the question?
I don't think it happens very often. The NRA likes to say it does, to encourage people to buy guns. But according to statistics, half of all gun deaths are suicides or domestic violence. That means that if you have a gun at home, the odds that someone in your house will use it to kill themselves or a family member are greater than the odds of you needing it to kill a robber.
