What kind of self defense weapon?

I want a weapon that will be able to assist me in defending myself in life or death situations. I'm a already a black belt in MMA but the other that wasnt enough when my friend was attacked my three men, friend was also a black belt. I dont want anything that has a blade or an extreme sharp point, it must also be able to be concealed. Please include name and where I could get one, or if you have an idea for one that would be good too. Oh, and batons are not my style, this must be able to be concealed right away not slam it shut than store it. Okay well thank you very much, anything helps.

Well my daughter is learning the fans, I know some people may laugh at it but the Samurai used them for self-defense when the honor code dictated that they weren't to bring their swords into the house of another Samurai. If it is a metal fan it will have a good weight to it, but they are not really sharp. I believe there are also some collapsible eskrima sticks out there. I believe nunchaku could possibly be hidden if you carry a bag.

Am I allowed to carry an expandable baton in Ohio for self-defense?

I can't find any information about weapons other than firearms when it comes to laws and whether or not a civilian can carry them. Anyone know whether I'm allowed to carry an expandable baton for self defense?

No, you cannot carry an expandable baton in Ohio. The law is as follows:

2923.12 Carrying concealed weapons.

(A) No person shall knowingly carry or have, concealed on the person’s person or concealed ready at hand, any of the following:

(1) A deadly weapon other than a handgun;

2923.11 Weapons control definitions.

As used in sections 2923.11 to 2923.24 of the Revised Code:

(A) “Deadly weapon” means any instrument, device, or thing capable of inflicting death, and designed or specially adapted for use as a weapon, or possessed, carried, or used as a weapon.

In this case, a baton would be classified as a deadly weapon meaning that you could not carry it on you.
