Is Budoshin Jujitsu A Good self defense system?

That entire website is a sales pitch. So I would answer they are a joke. His list of noteable students has people no one ever heard of...makes you wonder. At least he trained with George Kirby who is a good martial artists but I have to say his website is total tool.

What do you consider effective self defense?
This isn't a question per se, but more or less an invitation to think. I read a lot about people wanting to learn self defense, so I want to ask the following, just so I know what the different views of this issue is.
First of what do you consider self defense to begin with? What would be successfully defending yourself?
When you learn self defense, what should you focus on learning?
What is the best self defense system and why?
I'm just a little curious on answers and hoping my questions were clear enough for people to understand what I'm asking.
Okay Scott. Fair enough that you think BJJ is the best, because you can go to the ground... But would that be a good idea if there are TWO attackers?
the first thing is to be aware of your surroundings and avoid the area all together,
if you get involved in a situation you would be to run if possible and call 911, or escape as soon as possible and then call 911.
if you are being mugged then you give them your money its never worth your life.
there is no one technique that will work in every situation, but a self defense situation should be more then 10 to 20 seconds. before the person is disabled or you can escape from the situation.
