does my action justifies self -defence?

i had an altercation with a stranger because he almost knocked me off my bike. Whilst the stranger rang the police that I was threatening him, I waited about 5metres from where the stranger was standing. After about 5mins, the stranger came back taking pictures of me which I told him to stop on several occasions. It would happen that i watched on TV a crime story, where someone was found guilt of an offence because the other party showed his pictures as the person that left the crime scene infact it later proved to be false. Because of dis scenario, i went up to him and hit his fone after telling him to stop taking my pictures then a fight started. During this fight, he strangled me in which case, i bit him on his arm as i was choking, is dis sufficient for self-defense?

You are the one who made the first assault by hitting him/his phone.
Therefore you cannot claim self defense.

Muay Thai question...(easy points)?

Is muay thai useful for self defense or is it mainly a ring sport? Does it work on the streets?? Can you face more than 2 opponents??

Its Very effective for street. close distance : trowing elbows,knee,clinch
And then you have all those kicks and punches and you learn how to block punches/kicks.. how can that not be effective. The only thing is you use big gloves so some bare knuckle training will be use full to make you a better bare knuckle fighter . I train in kyokushin karate to so here i use all the skills a learn from muay thai bare knuckle + training on the heavy bag bare knuckle.
