I'm 15 years old and Is this legal ?!?! (Law, Self Defense)!!?

Ok I know where my dads hidden .357 magnum Revolver is and a .45 1911 Kimber is. I also know were are the bullets. They are in the basement . If my parents are away and a thief/burglar, homicidal man comes in the house, has a gun and points it at me and my brother and says hes going to kill me. Can I go in my basement get the gun and shoot him before me and my brother gets killed ??? What would happen to my dad/mom would they go to jail ??? Will I go to jail for self defense ???

Guns are dangerous in the hands of the untrained...and doubly dangerous in the hands of a teenager. Don't go anywhere near it....under any circumstances...and don't tell anyone that it exists, much less where it is located. And don't think it will be fun to play around with it with your friends...someone will end up dead.

Tell your parents you know where the gun and the ammunition are. They have a lawful duty to keep those locked up and away from you and your brother. If you used that gun, you could end up in jail and so could your parents...and they could lose their house too.

Please....stay away from the gun...don't go anywhere near it and try to forget it exists. If someone comes in your house, you call 911...or if you are really worried, ask your parents to pay for martial arts classes for you. That would be far safer for you than a gun would.
