Self Defense Multiple Attackers

please tell me about bjj?

There are so many stupid gracie propaganda videos on youtube showing them 'beating' martial arts that don't have a primary focus on grappling. I disagree with that. However there is a video on youtube entitled 'bjj the useless martial art' i disagree with it also. It has shown results in mma plus. But not good at most aspects of self defense such as weapon defense and dealing with multiple attackers minus. Another user said eye pokes groin grabs and various other aggressive defensive tactics cannot be practiced realistically i disagree. The inner thigh is highly sensitive. And you don't just poke the eye you fish hook the eyelid. TEAR HIS FACE TO SHREDS. There are Shotokan and wing chun principles that totally compromise the bjj guard. I have seen it work in self defense but this guy copped a broken jaw as he was trying to throw someone. I just don't know what to think anymore please tell me your opinion.

bjj is good for what it was intended for, there is nothing wrong with knowing it or using it for that. weapons attacks, that more depends on how the person was training and not the style. multiple people you wouldn't want to be on the ground for.

there is a difference between sports ground fighting and real ground fighting. and many places dont teach real ground fighting. if you study kata that has ground fighting, as well as how to counter ground fighting.

i see many people saying this technique and that technique dont work, the technique doesnt work because they are using it for the wrong application or not doing the technique correctly. everything works when applied correctly and for the right application. it like tiring to put a bicycle tire on a car, of course it wont work how could.

there is no useless martial arts, if you cant get the style to work the flaw is either in you or your instructor and not the style

MMA or Krav Maga, I need to decide which one to take...?

I want to take whichever one will prepare me best for a 1 on 1, no weapons fight, and when I say MMA I mean Muay Thai + Wrestling + Boxing + Jujitsu. Krav Maga is supposedly good for self-defense but is there really anything they learn that an MMA fighter doesnt??? (not including multiple attackers and weapon defense). So ultimately, I want to know which will make me a better fighter.

Krav maga will teach shots to areas you'll never practice in MMA, and to think that you're going to pull those off in a fight without training for it is unrealistic. Sure MMA fighters absolutely know that a kick to the groin is awesome, but in a fight you're making decisions in under a second, and that's where training kicks in. If you're trained for the ring, you'll fight for the ring, and the street is not the ring.

Another thing krav will teach that MMA won't is that the human head can break your knuckles. The skull is quite hard and if you punch them wrong, then you will break you knuckles and lose the ability to fight with that hand. Krav applies a slight greater degree of realism in this regard.

Now those are just training discrepancies, neither art is better than the other. It's all about the practitioner. If you take MMA and train for the street with the same style, then you will be perfectly fine.
