What are some possible weapons i could buy for self defense?

Mace....I'm really iffy about guns. Idk Where would i go to get mace. Do they teach you how to use it? I really dont know alot about self defense. But lately i have been really thinking i should get something incase an altercation were to occur.

Which is better for self-defense: mace or that device that shocks people?

Girl get a decent taser and fry the bastard that tries something. I got one for a friend of mine. She loves it. It came in real handy when her husband(at the time) tried putting his hands on her. He was extra crispy when she was done with him. Most people use mace for breath spray now. Like I said go with the taser.
