Can I legaly carry any sort of knife for self defense in New York State even though im under 18 years of age?
I went to the mall recently and noticed small gangs of people such as neo nazis, and want to carry one as self defense. Is it legal, and what kind are or are not legal for me to carry?
You have the right to carry fully automatic weapons but criminal racketeer politicians make illicit, invalid, unconstitutional laws restricting your ability to defend yourself, particularly against them. They want you to die quietly so you don't blow their protection racket with gunshots regularly killing criminal assailants.
They fraudulently promised everyone protection if they just hold their pockets open wide for them. The frauds, embezzlers, and extortionists in our government don't want you demonstrating the ability to defend yourself because that too destroys their implication that you are too weak and ineffective and must have them to pretend they can defend you.
That concept is self-fulfilling because the general public has become lazy cowards and so easily ruled and taxed. That is the primary purpose of forcing you to be weak and defenseless. Although that also makes you easy targets for criminals, the scum in our government are willing to sacrifice us to criminals just so we won't be strong enough to resist them.

If jumped by multiple people, would it be self defense to use a knife on them?
If it makes any difference I'm asking about laws in the US, specifically MA
I know knives are considered deadly weapons and are only appropriate for defense against deadly force, but couldn't one be killed by multiple people using only fists?
It DOES matter where you are, but that is not enough to answer the question. It also depends on factors you will not know until you are actually attacked. this is a case where you should do what is NECESSARY to defend yourself, and deal with the legal issues later.
There is a reason someone said "I would rather be judged by 12 (jurors) than carried by 6 (pallbearers).
