Questions about USA,Libya and career?
Hello I am confused about Libya and if the US goes into this war.
1.Who is fighting there right now?
2.Who would the US be fighting for and against?
3.Why would we send troops over there?
I am asking these questions because when i turn 18 i am going to get kicked out of the house and want to join the Marine Corps.I don't want to risk my life to fight in a war Obama decided to declare for no reason.Can you recommend what to do when being kicked out at 18?The others jobs I wanted to do are Self Defense instructor and Border Patrol Agent.What should I become?Please don't say cop or SWAT Ive met many cops and SWAT agents they were all corrupt assholes no offense to cops or SWAT agents but i wouldn't want to work around that one that i knew one cop that quit because of it.

First, this is only a civil war. The last time the US was in a war was 1945. Since then, Congress has not officially declared war.
Second, if international intervention were needed in Libya, it would be European nations, not the US. We don't have the resources to be able to send many troops to Libya, nor could we spare enough to make a difference.
Third, the Libyan rebels are holding their own fairly well. They said that they do NOT want US involvement if it's going to be seen as an "American War". If America does intervene, more than likely, it will be seen as an "American War" and the Libyan Rebels will be very annoyed, to say the least.
Not to mention, the UN has ONLY placed a no-fly zone. To send ground troops in would be an international crime.

I mean, just look at all the jobs that are either lost or dramatically affected.
1. Police officers
2.Certain types of counselors
3.Military
4.Detectives
5.Self defense instructors
6. Fire-arm manufacturers
7. Prison workers
and thats just a few. I am for a non peaceful world.
, war torn countries do not produce as much industry wise agriculture wise and invention wise as country's during peace time so , your answerer is NO , Industry would flourish , education would flourish , agriculture would flourish , less stress more production. more industry more jobs ,
