Curious about your opinion, if you killed someone in self defense in your home, make a statement or lawyer up?
Let's say an intruder broke into your home and you killed him without even waiting to see a weapon.
Assume your state doesn't recognize the Castle Doctrine.
When the police arrived, would you tell your version of the story immediately hoping a jury would side with you OR would you demand a lawyer prior to making a statement?
Which is a better decision? Would demanding a lawyer before making a statement in this scenario have any undertones?
Talking to the police without a lawyer present under these circumstances would be foolish.

What means of self-defense, at home and outdoors, should be available to all people?
Not including self-defense/martial arts classes--more on the order of mace, pepper spray...what else?
I know that we supposedly have the right to bear arms, but in most cities this might not be true--at least not while out in public...
Somrthing that is already legal they're called guns.
