Federal and state laws concerning self defense.?
I would like to know about the Federal and Arkansas state laws about self-defense, particularly the laws defining self-defense and about guns.
Self defense means protecting yourself or others from imminent danger of death or serious injury. It is a defense against a charge of murder or assault, or similar crimes.
Self defense means you are in immediate danger, and there is no other option than the use of force to protect your self. The use of force must be commensurate with the danger. In other words you cannot use a gun to defend against a slap. You also cannot use force to apprehend a fleeing suspect, or to continue firing once the danger has passed.

Do you find it disturbing that Obama voted against allowing people to use a gun in self-defense?
Some suburbs in Chicago have a ban on guns to stop violence.
I find it unbelieveable that Obama voted against a bill which would have allowed people that live in those areas where guns are banned to violate that law only in self-defense.
I cannot believe that Obama doesn't think that we should be allowed to protect ourselves in home invasions,ect.
