what is better, pepper spray or taser?

i really need a very good suggestion. and i am still in search of very effective self-defense gadgets or whatever... what do you suggest?

both have pros and cons

however, i would probably go with the taser, because it is more likely to subdue (or partially subdue) an assailant

the pepper spray is not effective due to the fact that you have to get a clear shot at the face, and even then an assailant can easily ignore it, especially when drunk or high

the taser is pretty good because it can be used in almost anywher on the body, but some can also ignore the pain. at least it is more effective than spray

maybe the most effective "active" self-defense tool is your own body. if you master self-defense martial arts, you can take on almost anyone
