Am I a failure at life?

I'm 15, have no friends besides the ones I talk to online, have mediocre grades, I hate my school, I've only ever had one girlfriend and never kissed a girl, I also can't stand my parents. They now do not let me take any firearm or self defense training because they think my views make me mentally unstable. My days are also very boring. I come home from school, talk to people on forums likes these, somtimes go for walks in the woods, read, work out in my dad's gym, and somtimes play video games.

ohhh...... maybe u must change your personality...u must enjoy your life and be a socialize..try its...no.. you not a failure man.......

How effective is Judo for MMA and Self defense?

There are a lack of wrestling clubs in england and in my area. It got me thinking about Judo. I have great respect for the art and what a tough sport it is, With the importantance on the grip on gi . How easy have people found in to transfer to mma with out grips. Is it the same as with BJJ gi and BJJ nogi ? Ive read on Judo forums that it has taken some people up to a year training to hit a throw cleanly against a full resisting opponent. This seams along time , as im using it to supplement my other training . Would it take me getting to a very good level before skills are transferable. I only say this as when learning wrestling techniques in mma i can have success with them right away. I suppose the second question just follows on how have people found judo in self defense situations.

Judo is good for self defense, but it has to be taught as a self-defense art. Most dojos focus on Judo as a sport. It's less useful for MMA where people virtually never wear any piece of clothing.

It is also true Judo has a steep learning curve. It takes a good 2-3 years before you can be really proficient at it.

I thiink Judo + BJJ or wrestling + BJJ would be excellent for self defense and MMA (plus a striking art). Wrestling is great but gi tends to mess up a lot of its game.
