Now, if a person got stabbed in the eye(s) with fingers(unsharp nails and not like stab as in pressing into them hard, just a brief stab while both are standing upright on feet) And, the eyes were not external bleeding, what are the real precise consequences? State your source. I don't want stupid guesses.
Is the damage permanent for the rest of their life? I realize healing ability is different for each person and healing is better at a younger age. For a 43 year old? How much is an estimate of their visual acuity loss from 20/20 vision? Can it be cured?
not pressing into them hard, means: not squeezing the eyes like squeezing orange juice out of orange, or literally drilling into their eye.
we should assume for this particular case that the victim is a healthy physically active strong 43 year old male.
The damage depends in the eye been open or closed at the time of the impact, if the eye was open you can cause an erosion on the cornea that depending on the extension and the location (the more peripheral the better) it can reduce the vision to 20/40 or 20/50, but when healed can return to 20/20, if the eye was closed the trauma can go across the eye and hurt the retina, in best case scenario the vision will be 20/40 and return to normal in 2 to 3 weeks, else will cause a tear in the retina leading to a retinal detachment and a vision of 20/200 or worse, you wont find a sure source for this and its not a STUPID GUESS, its based on my experience as an ophthalmologist

anything is legal when its self defense in my opinion---if someone threatens your life, you have every right to protect yourself---whats pepper spray gonna do? just pi*s them off... i think its a good idea... remember to lock your doors especially when you are home and if you have the money try an alarm system... but thats taking it to an extreme... get to know people in your neighborhood and ask them to keep an eye out for ya!
