Self Defense Awareness

Does god manifest his self-awareness in living organisms as Love?

All living organisms exhibit self-Love through their defense mechanisms. The more sentient the organism, the more it is capable of exhibiting Love for others.

The most sentient organism, god, exhibits Love for everything.

The more we Love, the closer we merge with the sentience of god.

Comments?

my comment would be that God is always to be capitalized.
And like the Jews, remove the "o" ... "G-d".
but replace it with a "!" ... "G!d".

(Or perhaps a "?" ... "G?d")
Or if your dyslexic, "Dog"

Butfor your original question, yeah, pretty straight forward ...almost TOO straight forward, no?

"The more sentient the organism, the more it is capable of exhibiting Love for others."

mmm, then why is there some really loving morons out there?

"The more we Love, the closer we merge with the sentience of god."

Yeah, nothing like climbing an infinitely tall mountain. How infinitesimal our knowledge of god can but be if he is truly infinite; any (supposedly gargantuan) "size" we believe we are, well ...even 99% of infinity is infinitesimal. Perhaps god will throw us all in hell and NOT claim that "I never knew you", but instead claim that we never knew him.

Question about the UFC?

In my opinion, i think the UFC has somewhat diluted the aspect that traditional martial arts consists of (respect, self-defense, awareness, etc.) and now most kids are going out and buying the "UFC Gloves" and all the Tap-out shit to "look the part" when they have never even taken a martial arts or MMA class at an academy? it seems that a lot of people think that the point of martial arts is to take it so you can beat anybody's ass, as the UFC somewhat demonstrates. anyone have any opinions or comments on the situation?

If you watched MMA on a regular, or at least semi regular basis, you'd realize that you're wrong. The sport of MMA is largely ABOUT respect.

What you're focusing on is the fad of MMA. So a lot of little kids and punks are talking trash like they 'know MMA' when they wouldn't know the first thing about it. So what? Let me break it down for you. Right now, the fad in the martial arts is MMA. Years ago it was karate, and you don't think there were a bunch of idiot kids out there that started talking about how they 'know karate' and simply enjoyed it because they wanted to kick people's asses? This IS NOT NEW. It's always been that way, MMA is just catching the flack right now because it's in the spotlight right now. There will always be fools out there who know nothing about the dedication and will that it takes to succeed in ANY martial art, and there will always be idiots who run their mouths. (As this forum proves on a daily basis.)

Think what you want about MMA. A lot of people out there romanticize the martial arts. Like everyone who trains is about some higher purpose. Everyone who trains a traditional art lives and breathes honor and respect. If you've been exposed to the martial arts world at large you know that's bull shit. Even in the realm of the traditional arts there are assholes. Is it a majority? Certainly not. The same can be said for MMA.

Just don't make it into something it's not. Just because mixed martial artists use their martial arts people seem to want to think everyone who fights and trains is just a thug. Excuse me, what?

Dana White, president of the UFC, is just about as outspoken as you can get. Does he spend his time bashing the traditional martial arts? Not at all. He doesn't bash boxing for that matter! Yet everyone wants to attack MMA and specifically the UFC. So I have to ask, why all the hate?
