self defense options for a blind person?
I'm not blind i just kind of thought it would be an interesting thing to have information on as i have a lot of experience in combatives etc.
so yeah we see movies like daredevil and zatoichi where blind people are super awesome at fighting, but what about the real world where a gun is not really an option.
anybody have any experience with this or knowledge. I feel like jiujitsu would be great as long as there was only one attacker but otherwise idk
I have personally seen blind people training BJJ, I even saw heard from my instructor a story about this guy locally who used to fight in tourneys who was blind....They would start the matches on the knees for him and his opponents always agreed...He fought this one guy who refused (which is guess is ok) but then tried to tip toe behind him and take his back, the blind guy ipponed him and chocked him out....that's the legend, but I believe it to be true
