has anybody took self defense online?

does it work just as good as if you were in a class is it better to take self defense classes online or in a class if in class how long should it last and how many days a week do you do it thanks .

As others have said this is not a good idea. What you must understand is that learning without an instructor to correct you will always mean that you will learn some things incorrectly. You will develop bad habits that you will not even know you have. Then when you do get to train with a qualified instructor, you will have a harder time relearning what you have learned incorrectly. Self-defense is risky enough even if you have good instruction. You increase the risk to yourself greatly if you try to train yourself. Videos, books, ... can't correct your mistakes.

Right, well. I know I wont learn a martial art over the internet. But there must be some good techniques, or street-defense videos somewhere. I already do Shodokan Aikido, have done a bit of Judo and Boxing and hoping to go into Kung-Fu Kickboxing.

You aren't going to learn a martial art on youtube.

However, there are a couple good Bas Rutten home workout routines that are good if you have a punching bag.
