Texas Governor Rick Perry has signed a new state law that will allow Texans to use deadly force "without retreat" when defending themselves inside their homes, cars and workplaces. The law will go into effect on Sept. 1, 2007.

A law originally enacted in 1973 required Texans to attempt to retreat when criminally attacked. In 1995, the state legislature passed an exception to that law allowing the use of force without retreat when the intruder had illegally entered the victim's home. The law just signed by Gov. Perry extends the 1995 exception beyond the home to vehicles and workplaces. The law, SB 378 (.pdf), allows the reasonable use of deadly force without retreat ..............

Law Of Self Defense

Its about, law and self defense LOOK BELOW........?

okay say you were at home with your wife down the street with your baby at night, two men break in, one attacks you and the other rapes your wife, kills her and the baby, you quickly give the guy a good punch, find your trusty 12 gauge or legal pistol and you kill the two men. Is it wrong for the man to go to jail for the rest of his life.

CAUSE IN SOME cases which i have read, people have used self defence against their own life and accidentley killed the attacker and have spent their life in jail even though they were protecting their life

YOUR VIEW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

self defense doesnt mean murder

someone dies means you have used excessive force

the punch was plenty once you drew the weapon it was no longer self defense you shot and killed a man who was down or fleeing
