Weight Loss Training with The Monster X Camp of Texas

Want to get back in fully functional shape or even train for a marathon EASILY? Whether you want to lose weight or enhance your athletic abilities, the Monster X Camp will provide you with a unique fitness experience. Our certified weight loss trainers, led by Jon Hinds, will revolutionize how you think about movement and nutrition by teaching you the basics.

If you think about all the different types of movement in fitness, you might imagine yourself running on a treadmill or riding a bike. In our gym, we ask you to step off of the machines and get away from the mirrors while we demonstrate the four, basic natural movements: Running, Jumping, Crawling and Climbing.

Mastering these movements will provide you with the stability, strength and power you need for all of your favorite activities. What’s more, you won’t ever work out alone because in our gym, we’re committed to teamwork, too. Many of our members consider Monster X Camp their “third home,” because we work hard and we play hard to help you stay fit for life…..

Krav Maga Basic BBT, Advanced BBT, Expert Weight Loss Training, and Leadership/Instructor Training

All Classes under these classifications will be Krav Maga and other Israeli methods of martial arts. Because of our weight loss training structure, curriculum, and simplicity of all techniques that the Israeli methods provide, a student may train at any level and pick up all techniques easily.

Basic Black Belt Training

All basic combatives (punches, knees, elbows, kicks, and striking/kicking defenses), cardio weight loss training, and aggression/stress drills

Advanced Black Belt Training

All gun, knife, stick, and self defenses along with other combatives not found in Basic BBT

Expert Training

Multiple attacker self defense, advanced gun scenarios (including hostage scenario, crowd separation, & third party defense), knife vs. knife, tactical throws, & takedowns.

Leadership/Instructor Training

Assitant Instructor training and preparation for those who would like to later be considered to test for teaching certifications in Krav Maga, and for other classes within any Monster X Camp facilities. The Curriculum within this class actually goes from back to front as you learn in the other previously listed Israeli Self Defense classes from front to back. As you learn, you will also learn Coach Clay’s teaching principles and mentality, how to teach each and every technique with ALL teaching points, and will also experience skills/techniques and principles not available in any other classes of the normal curricula. Because of the information provided, this is a very exclusive program offered only to those who exhibit very humble personality, and who yet also show the menatlity we focus on which should accompany the students humbleness…absolute aggression in time of need.

Grappling and Ground Survival

Knowledge of the ground is very important to be a well rounded fighter, and also to be able to understand all aspects of self defense. This class is designed from years of experience in seminars under the likes of Gokor Chivichyan, Sensei (“Judo”) Gene LeBell, Jean Jacques Machado, Carlos Machado, Vinceant Feilds, Mike Swain, and classes under Ronald Risce. The curriculum for this program is designed to cover ALL aspects of the strongest most important part of the ground…SOLID BASE FUNDAMENTALS!!! Because we focus thoroughly on the root fundamentals of the ground, (including basic attacks, basic escapes and counters, principles of transition and weight, focus on position before submission, both, solidification and movement of the hips, head and shoulders, and simple yet realistic and effective attack on the ground) those who have trained in this program have been very effective in ground sparring in as little as two and three months of diligent training against those who have trained for as long as nine months to a year, per various student testimonials. This class is taken a step further by also focussing on the Combative Ground Survival aspects neeeded for the atmosphere outside of the ring and mat scenarios. Please understand again, although the students here do very well against others who train Grappling (Judo, Sambo, Jiu-Jitsu, etc.), the focus of the grappling curriculum for our students is strictly designed to train one thoroughly in the most important part of the ground…knowing it well enough to be able to get up and face multiple attackers more successfully if needed. You may be at this class for self defense but it is also a great bit of weight loss training.

Designed from the systems of Ju-Jitsu, Goshin-jutsu, Judo, Sambo, and several Israeli Self Defense systems.

American and Muay Thai Kickboxing

This class offers a phenominal class for cardio while also delving into the very intricate, yet phenominal aspects of footwork and angle of attack found in American Kickboxing and Muay Thai Kickboxing. At very least, the first 30 minutes of every class is dedicated to the cardio and technical portions needed to be an effective stand up fighter, while leaving the last 15 minutes for those interested in sparring, and training to spar competitively. Be ready for a bag pounding, heavy breathing, weight loss training workout when you step into this class…DING DING “ROUND ONE”!

Kickboxing For Self Defense

Isn't it late for me to learn kickboxing?

hello
i am 25 and i want to learn kickboxing, don't you think it is a little late at this age,i don't have any strong background in any sports and my body right now is completely ordinary(height:175cm,weight:80),for sure i know it is late for going to championships,my purpose for learning kickboxing is just self-defense and going a little more than average level of kick boxing.
thanks
so what do you think isn't it late?

Not at all but you are starting to reach the age where your body does not recover as well and as easily so take a gradual approach to things. By that I mean build yourself into shape and you will more easily avoid any training or start-up injuries, aches, and pains. You might even want to do some light stretching and jogging before starting at some school or gym as well as some crunches, squat thrusts, jumping jacks and get yourself into a little better shape before starting. This will help you even more to avoid aches and pains if you have not been very active physically speaking. Also remember that it took some time to get out of shape so it will also take some time to get back into shape.
