People think Karate, and the Japanese language are cool, but people think Krav Maga, and Hebrew are not, WHY?
People seem to think it's interesting when I tell them I studied in Japan, and that I'm fluent in Japanese. People think it's cool that I'm a Black Belt in Karate Do. People don't think I'm crazy for that.
BUT people are not comfortable when I tell them that I studied in Israel. They don't think it's cool that I'm perfectly fluent in Hebrew. People don't think it's cool that I've memorized some books from the Old Testament in the form of song in Hebrew. People don't think it's cool I have a lot of Krav Maga training (the Israeli Army Self-Defense method.) Some people have actually called me a psycho for both speaking Hebrew and studying Krava Maga.
WHY?
I dont know why, but to answer your question i think the fact that you are fluent in japanese and studied there is interesting
