Improvised Self Defense Weapons
Anyone ever use a high heel/stiletto heel as a self-defense tool or as a way to make someone leave you alone?
I saw a movie where a lady steps on a guy's foot to make the attacker leave her alone. One of my co-workers told me that she has used a high heel similar to that and stepped on a guys foot after he grabbed her arm and wouldn't let go but he quickly let go after she did that so I was just wondering if anyone else has ever improvised and used their fashionable heels as a self-defense tool/weapon or as a way to make someone back off as it sounds like it could come in handy. If I had a purse I'd probably hit the guy in the head with that but if I had on heels I think I might try the foot stomping method too, anything to get the person to back off and leave me alone.
I haven't, but a friend of mine has and I was there when it happened. We were at a karaoke club and after we went up to sing the song, a couple of guys wanted us to sing with them but we declined. One of the guys came back over later with a drink for my friend and wanted her to sing a song with him. She declined and later when she got up to use the restroom he followed her. He ended up grabbing her arm so she took the heel of her shoe and drove it into his foot kinda like what you are talking about in your question and that made him leave her alone real fast after that. I'm not sure who got the worst of that exchange because even though Im sure her stiletto heel really hurt going into his foot she was in tears for a little while because of how rude and aggressive the guy was to her. We told the bouncer/door guy what had happened and they made him leave which was good. So in answer to your question, even though I have not done this it seemed to have worked for my friend and I would "improvise" as you say and I definitely consider a high heel especially stilettos a potential weapon so they could come in handy like that and if that guy had done to me what he had done to my friend he'd have gotten punched. I am not a violent person at all but no one has the right to put their hands on you and mistreat you and being drunk is never an excuse. If you get in a situation where your heels come in handy to make an attacker back off then buy all means do it and then be sure to report it so people will later learn that the person has a past history. Good job by your coworker for not being a doormat and fighting back. If something like this happens in a bar or a club tell the door guy/bouncer about it. He gets paid to help people stay safe so make him earn that pay check lol! Good question, btw!

What martial arts should i learn or would be best for me?
So i want to learn something that has a good combination of many different fighting styles. It should also teach you weapons and acrobatic moves. I don't think there is such a martial art but i don't know. Also i would like to learn something that is for self-defense and teaches you how to improvise. Also do any of you know great masters near Federal way, washington?
As a general rule, I do not recommend Kajukenbo because it is a violent and brutal style where the average person drops out after about two weeks. But you are looking for a martial art that is a good combination of many different things. Kajukenbo is the Hawaiian street fighting art which combines Judo, Danzan Ryu Jujitsu, Okinawan Kenpo, Escrima, Gung fu and Boxing. Weapons are not part of the official repertoire of Kajukenbo , but a lot of Kajukenbo people are cross-trained in Escrima. You will learn how to do breakfalls and jump kicks to the body. And you will be learning how to improvise in the "street fighting drills".
Kajukenbo is popular in the Pacific Northwest. There are Kajukenbo schools in Washington state. There is even one in Federal Way. I do not personally know the instructor of the school in Federal Way, but his lineage is impressive.
I must warn you in advance that training in a hard core Kajukenbo school is not easy, nor is it fun. Beginners will be put through a grueling physical workout, and beginners will be punched and kicked for real in their first class. It is normal to be all sore and be covered in bruises after a workout. I don't know if Kajukenbo would be the best art for you. I don't even know if it is suited for you. The techniques in Kajukenbo are dangerous. They are dangerous to the students who have to practice them on each other. And sometimes we get banged up a bit too hard, and we need a bit of time off to recuperate. But the most dedicated students always go back to train no matter what happens to us because we believe in our style. This is the style that I love and I wouldn't do any other martial art.
Since there is Kajukenbo in Federal Way, Washington, you can go and check it out.
