What's the best self defense weapon?

What is the best tool for self defense that can be hidden and carrried around with you everywhere?

the best self defense weapon is the brain because you could have all the weapons in the world but unless you know how to use them they will be no good as that weapon can just as easily be used against you if you opponent gets hold of it

Carrying a shotgun question?

Okay, so i recently moved to detroit michigan. Im 16and i feel the neighborhood that i live in isnt so friendly. So ive been thinking of a way to carry a weapon for self defense. Im homeschooled by the way. I thouhgt about. A knife untill i found out swithcblades are illegal. So i thouhgt about a gun. I found out that u need alot of licenses to carry a handgun which i have no intend to get. And i read that there are no laws against concealed shotguns in michigan. So i bought myself one. Now its really hard to hide such a big and heavy thing, would it be legal for me to cut the back end of it to make it more hideable? What are the laws in michigan about that. Thanks!

1. You're 16. You can't legally buy guns. Which means you have an illegal gun.
2. There is no such thing as a "concealed shotgun" license, because shot guns are TOO BIG to conceal.
3. If you are caught carrying a gun, you WILL be arrested and WILL be put in jail. Think about it.
4. If you must go in the streets... Get yourself some pepper spray, this will temporarily blind anyone trying attack you. It can fit in your pocket or go on a key chain. AND... it's perfectly legal.
