can you recieve belts in brazilian jiu-jitsu in the marines?
a few of my buddies say they are taught alot of other basic core fundamental self defense stuff but i was wondering since teh gracies taught stuff to marine instructors can i, granted i put in the number of years into service and to training, become a blackbelt through the marines in brazilian jiu jitsu? i wanted to become a blackbelt in bjj before i entered marines. i was just gonna train after i come out but to kill two birds with one stone is it possible?
i also hear companies and bases compete in mma/cage fighting?
a few of my buddies mentioned that.
any thoughts?
The military is going to teach you combat effective arts, not sport effective arts.

Not at all... its simply an art that pretends to be one of the best in the world. There was a fictitious guy named Royce that won the UFC championships like 4 times in a row? and the majority of the world is obsessed with it... other than that.... it blows!
