Free Self Defense Videos
Where can i learn martial arts/self-defence online?
I am looking for a website or videos that could teach me martial arts, or self-defense. I do not have any classes nearby so i could not attend any martial arts classes. Are there any tutorials etc available online for free?

learning self defense from a video or online is very impractical. since you have no one to make corrections or tell you what your doing wrong. and its had to believe there isn't some one around that doesn't know martial arts, unless your hours away from a town. did you try the community centers, library, and local high schools, we teach out of these places a lot in small communitys some people teach in there garage and just advertise in these places.
but if you real must try youtube of google video and type in self defense, but you wont be able to learn much or know how to use it too well. as the are usually for reference not note learning. and go some place were there is an instructor at least one per week

I saw someone post this on another question, and I feel it is a good analogy: "Trying to learn how to fight online is like trying to learn to swim on dry land".
Sorry to be the bearer of bad news, but you cannot learn how to fight online. You can find some websites that promise anything, but they just want your money. I've been doing martial arts for 11 years, and I can tell you that there can be no substitution for a real instructor. If you try to learn something online, odds are that it will not work. Techniques require practice and someone who knows what they are doing to show you what you are doing wrong. Online videos give many people the impression that they can fight, then they do get into a fight and hurt themselves.
Sorry, but that's the cold, hard truth. It's better to not learn martial arts than to try to learn them online.
