Best Self Defense Flashlight?

I have the SureFire Z2, but i think the lamp needs to be replaced. The life of the battery doesn't seem to last long at all. Is there any bright flashlights for home self defense or general use that has a longer battery/lamp life to it. I would use it with my Sig hand gun as well.

I've had a small mag-light for around a year, and it works very well, the battery life is quite long. The only down side is the bulb is very delicate and breaks rather easily, but the torch itself comes with a spare.
