I'm going to be married soon to a woman I love dearly. Her parents do not approve of me because?

I'm African American and she is Asian. I have worked hard for many years as an entrepreneur feel that I have a lot to offer, although I am starting over from a previous marriage. How can I win her parents over?

The important thing is that you and your fiance love each other. She also has to be a strong woman who will not let her parents' disapproval get in the way of the marriage. That part is really important because if she lets it affect her, she will feel some resentment towards you.

Parents (even Asian parents) eventually come to accept your decisions especially if you are a decent person who loves their daughter. My advice is to attend her family events and get to know them..they will warm up to you. I know it's easier said than done when you know they disapprove but like I said, they'll warm up to you. If you don't show up, that will just give them more reason not to like you..as you should already know, Asians tend to be very family oriented.
